The most effective gift is a spontaneous one. An unsolicited letter brightens the day and spreads its warmth. Awake to the pleasure a RAOK can bring, Colin Nugent promises to give away part of his earnings in acts of kindness through the Colin Nugent foundation. The foundation is admittedly just Colin handing out the odd tenner when it takes his fancy, but there’s no bureaucracy or admin costs and every penny helps. It may be a hard-pressed shop worker doing their job. Or it could be a traffic warden who manages a smile when questioned. Colin will keep a note and feedback how he gets on.
